| An article was published in the Virginian Pilot this year by of one of their own columnists as it pertains to his own experiences with lint buildup and the importance of proper dryer vent cleaning. The leading cause of such fires? “Failure to clean”, the report said.

According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, approximately 15,000 fires per year are attributed to excessive lint in dryers and dryer vents. Additionally, deaths and millions of dollars of property damage can occur as a result of these types of fires. |
